E-cigarettes are on the rise and there is no doubt about that.
Every month more people are embracing the new vaping culture and we see more often people walking in the streets leaving behind them a fruity or sweet cloud.
According to an article on City A.M., the global electronic cigarette market is set to be worth $32BN (£25BN) by the year 2021, while the UK market grows to $5.67bn (£4.46BN), a new report suggests.
The Daily Mail released and research showing that amongst the 1,700 vape shops in the country, approximately 50% opened only in the last year.
The trend started in the USA
, where the boom is dated back to 2014 when the availability of new technology and flavors made vape products more appealing. Today 2.6M people are vaping and 700,00 of them and ex-smokers who decided to give up on cigarettes to embrace a healthier habit.
Smoking levels are being drastically reduced by the availability of hugely popular vaping alternatives.
The UK Vaping Industry Association (UK VIA) said retail sales in the country are worth around £600m. And would reach $5.67BN (£4.46BN) by 2021. The positive influence of public health bodies has helped the market.
The NHS values each person who quits smoking as saving £74,000 even simple arithmetic shows that the smokers who have switched to vaping, and no longer smoke, already represent a saving of more than £96BN.
But what is vaping?
Vaping is an alternative to smoking, using a vaporizer to produce a tasty vapor from a liquid (also called e-juice). It’s like smoking minus several of the adverse effects of the latter: no bad smell and bad breath, no cigarette burns, no more dirty ashtrays, less likelihood of getting cancer and other smoking-affiliated illnesses – you get the drift.
E-juices are also coming in different flavors: ice-cream, strawberry, cookie, fruits. Therefore they also reproduce some of the most popular cocktails, such as Mojito or Prosecco. The wide availability of essences creates a funny and entertaining experience.
It’s not rare to see at the back of vape shops a vape coffee shop. So where clients participate in a tasting journey, exploring new liquids, whilst sipping a warm coffee or tea.
